Loosely inspired by decorative blackletters and metal album lettering. Banger is the result of searching for new textures in type and exploring unique methods of making. The typeface avoids straight lines like the devil, and is shaped to be a charming and friendly and readable display face.

In the twentieth century, the design saw very little use because it caused problems for printers, as the thin serifs and inner bars were too fragile and broke off too easily when used in metal. Not a problem for screens, though! A benefit of our modern world is the ability to finally enjoy Leather’s timeless design.
